Ladurée

Bonjour from Paris, or more like the Upper East Side at Ladurée. This adorable cafe known for their macarons straight off the Champs-Élysées is the perfect Sunday treat. Its hard to find gluten free yummy bites so it is great that macarons are. They are a little taste of heaven. My favorite flavors at Ladurée are Rose and Salted Carmel. But you can't go wrong with anything from this place. They even offer different style boxes which makes the perfect gift for any hostess or thank you. The Madison Ave location here in NY was their first store in the United States. Now they have multiple and even two in New York but nothing beats the original location here in the states which just feels like you are in Paris.

Polka Dots

Polka Dots are everywhere this season. From every store to every blogger, polka dots just seem to be popping up everywhere. The dots are still not as flattering as stripes so you have to be careful on how you style the complete look. Best to stick with a mainly black color scheme if looking for that effect. If you are into the lighter colors the good news is now you can mix and match prints so you don't have a polka dot overload all in one outfit.

Easter at NoMo

Happy Easter. I have always had this hotel on my list to check out and what better day than Easter. The NoMo hotel is in Soho and has this beautiful greenery entrance. This photo spot is such a cool entrance to this trendy spot.

It's all in the details I love including a ribbon in my hair to hide any pony tail or just to accessorize the back of my look. When you stop in a store like Gucci to Dior make sure to get a ribbon and keep them so you can use for your hair, bracelet or anything else to add that touch of glam.

Inside the hotel restaurant it has such a cute atmosphere from the glass chandeliers to the heart wall art. But nothing beats the look of those pancakes. Since I'm GF I can't eat them but my mom ordered the dish what they are known for and let me say she was in heaven. Their lemon ricotta pancakes are a must have when you go for brunch. The avocado toast isn't bad either and comes with the option of GF bread which is nice.

Workout Style

Athleisurewear is all the rage these past couple of years and from my favorites Bella and Gigi Hadid are some who pull it off the best. Their easy transitional pieces can be dressed up or down and with their killer bodies you know they hit the gym hard and of course in style being VS Angels, Nike and Reebok ambassadors. One of my New Year's resolutions was to workout more for myself to feel better mentally and physically and what better way to start than with these VS pants and Lulu Lemon top. But cannot forget to stay hydrated along the way. This crystal water bottle by Gem Water it is the perfect combo to kick start my year. The crystals are all about overall wellness. You can pick your more desired needs to focus on for your water from, Balance, Love, Fitness but I chose Wellness since it is a great one for overall life aspects not just for hitting the gym. It is a glass bottle and tastes amazing as it looks.

Los Angeles

When I knew I was headed to Los Angeles I was quick to leave my monochromatic ways of New York and add some color back into my life. The style here is very casual, wearing jeans and sneakers to a 5 star restaurant is considered perfectly normal unlike in New York where they wouldn't even let you through the door. So I was ready for color and left with my can't go wrong Gucci belt and go to white jeans from 7. But don't forget the shades something I was quick to put away in NY but in LA they never take them off even when its dark or inside a store, I mean never. Who doesn't like a good pair of sunglasses but never taking them off was something I had to return to muscle memory which was easy enough considering it was a hot hot 100 degree weather. I hit a few of the old tourist hot sports while i was there as well. The LACMA, Alfred's tea room, Melrose Ave along with the Beverly Hills Hotel. All some of my favorite sports i missed ever since leaving La La Land.

Black and white are easy colors that fit well together, can mix and match or just wear one. Being in New York black is the cities color. Everyone hear wears black from head toe no matter the weather, occasion you will always find black the staple of not just the fashion world the city as whole. Coming from someone who has lived in Los Angeles that was a hard adjustment when their city color is white and if you wore black you looked like you did not belong. So strange how on each coast they also hit each end of the color spectrum. I am all for wearing black and white attire but think the combo of the two is just a better fit for my style and overall look year round.

Flower Power

I love a good floral dress, especially one that can be worn all year round. This dress from TopShop is the perfect dress that fits the category. From fall all the way through spring, the mix of light to dark and a ruffled collar is perfect combo with the lightweight fabric. Pair with over the knee boots or through on some trendy sandals and you are good to go.  Shop in the link above.

These Boots are Made for Walking

These boots are made for walking. I absolutely love these versatile boots by Stuart Weitzman x Gigi Hadid. They are the most comfortable boots and of course designed by my favorite human Gigi. I begged for these last Christmas and my parents surprised me with my favorite shoes. Great to pair with a dress like I have done or even with leggings to a sports game. Take a look at how I styled it in the images.

Lake Life

Being from Michigan I have a draw to the water especially in the summer. I grew up on Lake Michigan and loved every minute of it. It is an escape from the real world, everyone is extremely nice (Midwest hospitality) it is gorgeous and has everything you need. I grew up horses, golf, boats, beaches, tennis, working downtown at a clothing store (my first job) and just enjoying the sun and fun parties thrown at the clubs. No better place to spend time away than in Northern Michigan.

Since there are a ton of events that I grew up going to I always need dresses to fit the part. This dress is my absolute favorite, it goes from casual to dressy. It is by Tiare Hawaii, they have so many different prints and colors that fit all year round no matter the location. Check them out in the link below and my recommendations for visiting Northern Michigan will be up soon under travel.
