Disney World Tips and Tricks

First let me say I have been going to Walt Disney World long before I could even walk. My family holds this place close to our hearts, it is where we have created so many magical memories and still have so much more to explore. With that being said I think I can be an honorary tour guide and walk through the parks with my eyes closed which is why I can share some of my tricks on how best to navigate through the parks along with some hidden must do’s. First, I will start with the park everyone knows Disney for, Magic Kingdom. But long before you step foot on Disney property make sure to BOOK your fastpasses in advance. I cannot stress that enough it will save you countless hours of waiting in line and trust me no one wants to wait 140 min for a 5 min ride on it’s a small world. It also helps plan your day once those babies are already set to go. So now you have done your fastpasses make sure to grab a baked good at the first store the confectionary on the right as you walk in the park on Main Street. This is the best bakery hands down for freshest rice krispies to caramel apples. Before you stuff your face my other treat spot in this park is Dole Whip in Adventureland by the Tiki Room. I can go on and on about food and best locations but that is for another time. So, for Magic Kingdom, try to ride the rides you don’t have fast passes for first or during a parades so the kids will be distracted making the lines significantly less busy.

For my all-time favorite park Epcot (since I love to travel so much) I can tell you to visit China for cotton candy, Germany for a caramel corn and United Kingdom for Fish and Chips. But some other fun facts are the best places to take photos so other people won’t be in them. Hard to find in a theme park packed of thousands of people but it can be done. My go to is in Morocco, as you enter the country they have a store near the back on the left hand side then as you turn the corner there is a hidden room where a fountain and tiled walls are found. Most people don’t know about this spot so just wait your turn and there will be no one there, perfect time for a pic... see mine below. Also, another great spot is in the tea garden in United Kingdom along with on the hill in Japan opposite the restaurant.

Another tip I have learned from Epcot is that test track a popular ride has a single rider line. Some of the rides designer for older kids have this, such as Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom and Rockin’ Roller Coaster in Hollywood studios. All great rides that have hours of wait time and if you don’t have a fastpass I suggest doing the single rider line. It generally takes less than 20 min and yes you are separated from your party but more and likely they are right behind you or on the same car. That beats the hours in the regular line in my opinion. My other favorite thing at Epcot to check out that most people don’t even see is the Coke room. It is near the front entrance right past the Starbucks, they have FREE coke tasting of Coke’s from all around the world. Watermelon flavored form China, Different flavored Fanta’s the Unite States doesn’t have, all in them of the world which Epcot is all about.
